All you Disney Foodies that haven’t been to Morimoto Asia yet, run … run as fast as you can. This place is phenomenal! Situated across from Raglan Road in Disney Springs, the outside of the building is a bit “meh.” But walking in you realize it is anything but boring!
For lack of a better word, this restaurant is sexy! The restaurant is filled with glitz and glam from floor to ceiling. The upstairs has some seating, the sushi bar, and the regular bar (where we enjoyed some apps and drinks).
Downstairs is where it’s at for a foodie like me though, because you can see all the way into the kitchen thanks to the glass wall that separates the kitchen from the dining area.
Our server for the evening, Kyle, was fantastic! He was one of the nicest servers I’ve had on Disney property. (Nevermind the fact that he carded us and told us we didn’t look our age at all!) Thanks Kyle!
We started the service with drinks. The lemon grass martini and the White Lily. Both were very tasty (although a bit expensive).
Next up, a spicy tuna roll and a California roll. I personally think you can tell a lot from a sushi restaurant based on their California roll. It was very fresh and full of flavor. The best sushi I’ve had in a while!
The Crab Rangoon. A must eat for every trip! It was crispy, it was creamy, it was like an explosion of flavors! Delicious!
Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, and fantastic food make Morimoto Asia one of my top 3 restaurants on Disney property!
DIStracted Tip: While the Disney Dining Plan currently isn’t accepted, Tables in Wonderland is. If you haven’t made ADRs for this restaurant you can ask to eat dinner at the bar where a full menu is served.
