Get your salsa shoes on and head down to everyone’s favorite Cuban inspired café, Bongos Cuban Café, owned none other than the famous Cubana herself, Gloria Estefan.
This Havana inspired building, which opened in Downtown Disney’s West Side in 1997, is eye catching. In addition to the Cuban architecture, you can’t help but notice the giant pineapple that graces the entrance of the café.
This café fills you with latin vibes. It feels as if you have just landed in the middle of a Cuban town. Every night around 6:00 pm, salsa music fills the air and the dance floor is full of dancing.
The menu stays true to the flavor of its roots giving customers such choices as Arroz con Pollo (Chicken with Rice), or Lechon Asado (Roast Pork) and every Cuban’s favorite Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef). The food tastes like a little bit of heaven with every mouthful.
During the evening the café offers an outside bar service. If you don’t want to have a meal you are more than welcome to come and sit outside have a mojito or two while you listen to the live entertainment.
