Universal Studios Orlando has recently announced, after more than a decade, the return of the King of Skull Island!

Skull Island: Reign of King Kong will open at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Summer 2016. The attraction has been under construction since last Summer and will be adjacent to the popular Jurassic Park River Adventure.

The ride will again take you face-to-face with the giant ape himself, while journeying through Skull Island and fighting for your own survival.

The new ride will be different from Kongfrontation that once stood in Universal Studios from 1990- 2002. It will be darker and guests will be taken to where Kong is truly King.
