Magical DIStractions is looking forward to the fun and excitement coming from May 8th – May 12th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort as it hosts the 2016 Invictus Games. For those not familiar with the Invictus Games, it is an International Sporting Event that was founded by HRH Prince Harry after he visited the Warrior Games in 2013. By attending the Warrior Games, Prince Harry was able to see first-hand how the power of sport helps people physically, psychologically and socially. The idea for the Invictus Games was born, and Prince Harry dedicated himself to the cause with the inaugural games being held in London, England in 2015. The “Invictus” (meaning “unconquered”) Games are for wounded, ill and injured military service men and women, both active duty and veteran.
Please watch this video to hear Prince Harry explain about the Invictus Games and announce Orlando as the host for the 2016 Games.
