Carousel Inn & Suites is a Disneyland Good Neighbor hotel and technically it is also a Disney hotel. This 131-room hotel was purchased by an extension of the Walt Disney Co. in March of 2015 for $32 million. Currently, the management that ran the hotel when it was purchased continues to manage it and Disney supposedly does not have any long term plans.
We got a chance to stay at this “secret Disney hotel” on our most recent stay and I was very impressed. Rates run for $109 to around $400 depending on room choice and time of season. We paid around $125 for our room with two (2) queen beds through Expedia.

The Carousel Inn & Suites is your standard moderate hotel without a lot of extras. The room was clean, spacious and perfect for the four (4) of us. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and not “be in the way.” I loved that the vanity is separated from the shower/toilet area as this gives the ladies a chance to get ready without having to wait for the rest of the family to shower in the mornings. Each room is equipped with a mini refrigerator and a small microwave, which is a HUGE bonus since many of the hotels around Disneyland do not have microwaves in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and I have to say the pillows were amazing!
The staff was friendly and courteous. We had a small issue with getting our AC to work, but maintenance was quick to come help us… And they even plugged it in for us. Haha While he was there, my husband was struggling to get the TV to work and he checked and sure enough it wasn’t plugged in either. So if you run into any issues with getting items to turn on, I highly recommend checking to see if they are plugged in to save yourself the embarrassment we felt.

Since it was just for one (1) day we didn’t get a chance to try out the pool or check out the gym.
DIStracted Tip: The only parking available for the Carousel Inn & Suites is valet parking. It is $14 per day.
Nothing can beat the location and it has to be the biggest selling point. The Carousel Inn & Suites is conveniently located across the street from the main entrance of Disneyland Resort on Harbor Blvd. and right next door to our new favorite pizza joint, The Pizza Press. If pizza isn’t your thing, you are within walking distance of multiple restaurants.
Our stay at the Carousel Inn & Suites was great and we definitely plan on returning!
