This is a shout out to all of our Trekkie fans (and anyone who loves cosmetics). The Final Frontier is descending upon our cosmetic bags. Cosmetic giant MAC has announced they will launch an amazing Star Trek range which they promise will be “out of this world!”

Anyone who adores makeup, like me, already knows what MAC is capable of when they launch one of their limited edition cosmetic ranges.  These things sell out within minutes and there are queues galore when it comes to getting your purchases first hand or even online.

MAC has announced they want to celebrate the 50th anniversary of these iconic films along with the talented female leads featured in the many films whose story lines pushed racial, age and gender  boundaries.

The Star Trek collection will consist of 25 pieces, which will feature amazing eye shadows, lip colors and nail polishes. The collection will focus on four of the main characters: Seven of Nine, Orion girl, Uhura and Vina.

At first glance/thought, you may not associate these cosmetics with Disney but, if you Disney Bound, they will work incredibly well with your outfits! Exactly what is Disney Bound? To put it quite simply, Guests use their own clothing, accessories and makeup to style themselves after their favorite Disney character or Disney theme park. It is really quite easy to do and is the perfect solution for those grown-up kids who aren’t allowed to wear costumes in the parks. With the new MAC Star Trek collection, you could use the Vina makeup and Disney Bound as the famous DiVine often seen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. The Star Trek line includes futuristic colors which would make for a great Disney Bound day in Epcot’s Future World! The possibilities for incorporating these gorgeous makeups into your Disney trip are endless.

The range will be beamed across the world and will become available online on August 25th and in stores on September 1st.
