Fireworks and parades are perfect ways to enhance your magical day at any Walt Disney World park! But with everyone having the same idea, getting that “magical” spot, or even a spot at all, can be an exercise in patience. If convenience is what you desire, you can always pay for it and get some yummy goodies thrown in!
Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom are well known for spectacular parades and nightly fireworks! Unfortunately, getting a good viewing area for your family without proper planning can be tough. Disney offers a few different paid options to enhance your viewing experience!
Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties & Dining Packages
Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade
Option #1: Tony’s Town Square Dining Package
Eat lunch at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and receive VIP viewing of Disney’s Festival of Fantasy 3 o’clock parade. The dining package is $45 for adults and $17 for children ages 3 – 9, plus gratuity. The package includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic drink. You can also pay by using 1 table service meal entitlement if you are using the Disney Dining Plan. Be sure to look for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package if booking online, or ask for it if calling to book your reservations.
Option #2: Tiana’s Riverboat Party – Ice Cream Social & Viewing Party
A relatively new option for parade viewing in the Magic Kingdom is Tiana’s Riverboat Party – Ice Cream Social & Viewing Party, which is only offered on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. As a result, this can book up far in advance. In addition to super cool reserved parade viewing (from the Liberty Belle Riverboat), you will also get some cool extras. To begin, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen greet you at a meet and greet reserved only for party guests. You will then board the riverboat to snack on delicious desserts and drinks, watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade, then take a spin around the Rivers of America with Tiana and Naveen on board. The cost for this event is $49 per adult and $29 per child ages 3 – 9, no gratuity required. The Disney Dining Plan is not accepted. You must pre-pay at time of booking.
Wishes Nighttime Spectacular – soon to be Happily Ever After Fireworks Show
Since the FastPass space for Wishes is no longer available, a good (but alas, not free) option is one of two dessert parties offered at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.
Option #1: Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
The Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace is a wonderful way to end your day at the Magic Kingdom. Check-in begins an hour prior to Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. You will be treated to a buffet with snacks such as fruit and cheeses, desserts and ice cream, and drinks, including sparkling cider and specialty lemonades, at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. Just prior to showtime, you are escorted to your seats on the patio for your premium viewing. The cost for this event is $79 per adult and $47 per child ages 3 – 9, no gratuity required. The Disney Dining Plan is not accepted. You must pre-pay at time of booking.
Option #2: Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing
For a slight price break, Disney also offers the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. This option will cost you $59 per adult and $35 per child 9 and under. You will still check in at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant an hour prior to the fireworks, and enjoy all the dessert and beverage benefits as the prior package. Prior to showtime, Disney Cast Members will escort you to the Plaza Garden for reserved viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Please note this is an all-standing area, not seated. The Disney Dining Plan is not accepted. You must pre-pay at time of booking.
DIStracted Tip: Although Disney suggests you arrive 60 minutes prior to showtime, I suggest arriving at least 90 minutes early. The check-in line can be quite long and I like to have as much time as I can to enjoy the offerings.
Remember all Walt Disney World package and event options are subject to availability and are very likely to sell out well in advance. Make your reservations as close to the 180 day window as possible.
