On June 7, 1946 BBC-TV in England returned to the airwaves for the first time in almost seven (7) years due to World War II. The first day’s programming featured the cartoon Mickey’s Gala Premier. The 1933 Walt Disney cartoon featured parodies of several famous Hollywood film actors from the 1930’s.
