Disney Legend, Richard Sherman, was born in New York on June 12, 1928. Richard Sherman and his brother Robert wrote many amazing songs for Disney films and park attractions. The Sherman Brothers were hired by Walt Disney as Staff Songwriters for Walt Disney Studios. Some of their best-known songs come from Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, and the Disney theme park songs “It’s a Small World (after all),” and “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”
