On June 16, 1961, Walt Disney purchased the film rights to Winnie-the-Pooh stories from Mrs. Daphne Milne, widow to the late author A.A. Milne. Disney released the first film, Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, in 1966. Winnie the Pooh is a beloved Disney character and can be found at the Walt Disney World Resort in the United Kingdom pavilion in Epcot, the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, as well as the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
