Retail MagicBands are now available for purchase! This is a great option for guests who may not be staying onsite at one of the Walt Disney World® Resorts during their vacation. Guests who book a Walt Disney World Resort vacation already receive a MagicBand in their choice of seven different colors. These Resort guests pick their colors in advance of their vacation with the MagicBands mailed to them before their departure.

Disney offers special MagicBands at select events as well as “bling,” including “Magic Bandits” (small characters and icon accessories that attach to the sides of the MagicBand), “Magic Sliders” (designs that slide over a MagicBand), as well as “CoverBands” (which apply to the MagicBands with a wide variety of special designs and themes) allowing guests to show their #DisneySide! I personally prefer the Cover Bands by DVC Central. The photo below is an example of one of their many designs.

How to get your own MagicBand

The retail cost of a MagicBand (in all colors) is $12.95. The “bling” varies in price. In order for offsite guests to link their existing reservations, they will need one of the following:

1. Valid Theme Park admission;
2. An already active MagicBand; or
3. Memory Maker card.

If the item is already connected with the guest’s My Disney Experience account, all of their existing plans (tickets, dining reservations, Disney PhotoPass Service, and FastPass+ selections) will automatically be linked to the new MagicBand. Guests can create their own accounts by visiting www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com.

DIStracted Tip: It is important to note that the touch to pay option will only work for Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort owned-and-operated hotels. Guests will have establish charging privileges on their resort accounts.

Retail MagicBands and accessories are available in several merchandise locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. The Disney Store online also carries “Magic Bandits” and “Magic Sliders.” The Cover Bands may be ordered directly through their site.
