Getting good photographs of your family while on vacation can be tough. For us, most of the pictures were always of my husband and son, or of my mom. Since I was taking the picture, I got left out. And if we switched, it was me and my son and my husband or my mom got left out. What to do?
Enter Memory Maker. It’s available at the Walt Disney World Resort, and it is the brilliant answer to “missing family member” pictures. When you purchase Memory Maker, you will receive digital copies of all of the photographs taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers. But wait, there’s more! You will also receive all of the select ride and dining package photos that are included with Memory Maker and a license that allows you to have the photos printed anywhere you choose.
If purchased in advance Memory Maker costs $169.00, which is a $30.00 savings. The regular price is $199.00. If you are going to be utilizing the Disney PhotoPass photographers and want the ride photos too this is a fantastic value, as each 4 x 6 image costs $14.95 when purchased individually.
DIStracted Tips:
- Any photos taken within three days of the advance purchase will NOT be included, so be sure to purchase Memory Maker well in advance of your trip. Once purchased, you will receive a Memory Maker card in the mail.
- If you purchase Memory Maker in advance, go online and add it to your My Disney Experience account. This will link the Memory Maker to your Magic Bands, and the Disney PhotoPass photographers can simply scan your band and you won’t need to carry the card around.
- Don’t be afraid to ask your Disney PhotoPass photographer for “magic” shots, like this one:
DIStracted tip: Another neat feature of Memory Maker is that before you download your images, you may add Disney borders, like this:
I really love the borders and the “magic” shots – but honestly, the real magic for me is having my entire family in the pictures!
