SeaWorld Orlando has released the logo for its highly anticipated rollercoaster which will soon dominate the skies of Orlando. Mako will be the longest, fastest and tallest rollercoaster in Orlando, standing at 200 feet and will prey on us beginning in summer 2016.
SeaWorld has decided to bring one of the most feared predators out of the water and into the sky. The coaster will hit a top speed of 73 miles per hour as Guests hurdle along the 4760 foot long track! The ride will skim past the central lake and then form a loop in front of the ever popular Shark Encounter. The vehicles will hold 28 people in rows of 4. Mako will be unlike anything you have ever experienced! In May 2015, Brian Morrow, senior director of attraction development, told the Orlando Sentinel that there will not be over-the-shoulder restraints. “It’s lap bar only, so you’re all free up here,” he said. Why wouldn’t there by shoulder restraints you ask? There will be multiple moments in which Guests will feel completely weightless.
