Magical DIStractions readers, I’m here to share some updates on SeaWorld’s newest ride Mako. Set to open this summer, Mako is now up and running! Hold your horses! Although the ride is in full working order, it is still in testing mode and the park is making sure that the cars go round smoothly and is testing all emergency features in case the ride breaks down.
The bright blue and purple track is in place and all the cars are making their way round SeaWorld as Florida’s biggest and fastest coaster. But wait, this is no ordinary ROLLERcoaster…. this is the bigger and better HYPERcoaster. The ride is officially 4,760 feet long and reaches the teetering heights of 200 feet and goes an incredible 73 mph…. Now that’s fast!!!
Mako will dominate the SeaWorld skyline and will join SeaWorld’s two current speed demons in the park, Kraken which stands at 149ft and Manta at 140ft. The ride won’t be for the faint hearted either as Mako will soar through the park giving the guests the feeling of weightlessness. Mako will simulate the thrill of the hunt that the shark like creature would go through and will give you nine moments within the ride where your stomach will feel like its in your mouth. I hope you dont have a weak stomach…. or have had anything to eat prior to boarding this ride.
A recent POV video has been released of what the ride will look like when Guests have the opportunity to experience this newest attraction:
So are you brave enough to try this daring new ride at SeaWorld?
