It’s good to be a member! Select evenings this summer, Disney Vacation Club members can enjoy complimentary and exclusive access to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon after 7pm.
On July 23rd & 28th and August 4th & 11th, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Neighborhood Beach Bash promises guests (staying on property) an “evening of fun, games, and dancing – along with frozen treats to beat the summer heat.” Members will be admitted to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon as early as 7pm to begin enjoying the park. But the party really starts at 9:30pm, when DJ AMP turns up the heat with “dance mixes inspired by the ’60’s, Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2.”
Used to paying $50+ for after hours in-park events, like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, I had to call member services to confirm. The call went like this…
Me: Hi there. I have a couple questions about the DVC Neighborhood Beach Bash. Like, is it really free?
Cast Member: I know, can you believe it? Yes, it’s completely free!
So, if you are a Disney Vacation Club member staying at a Walt Disney World Resort during the event dates, “Celebrate the Coolest Summer Ever” and call member services to reserve your spot. The booking windows for the event dates are:
- For July 23, booking takes place from July 8 through July 16, 2015
- For July 28, booking takes place from July 10 through July 21, 2015
- For August 4, booking begins July 15 through July 28, 2015
- For August 11, booking begins July 17 through August 4, 2015
Party size may include the Member and up to the number of Guests staying with them at their Resort accommodations. Reservations for this event are required and can be made by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800. Members DO NOT need to be staying on points or specifically at a Disney Vacation Club resort, but must have a room reservation at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for the date(s) requested and will need to have their reservation number available at the time of booking. Additional information can be found in the Member Experiences area of the Disney Vacation Club website or by calling member services.
