I’ve seen several pictures and videos floating around of the lighting of Cinderella Castle at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park over the last few weeks. It is spectacular to watch all of those wonderful holiday lights and decorations. However, that is not my favorite part of spending my Holiday season in Walt Disney World.
I LOVE to hop on the Monorail and tour all of the Monorail Resorts to see their amazing decorations! The best part is that you don’t even have to pay park admission to tour all of the wonderful resorts, so this could be a perfect way to spend a day off from the parks during your trip.
Enjoy an afternoon break from the Magic Kingdom, take a ride on the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary Resort. There you will find the latest Gingerbread Display with a Frozen theme! Pick up a Frozen themed treat to enjoy- those look amazing!
Don’t miss the amazing tree out in front of the resort!
The next stop on the ride will be the Polynesian Village Resort. While they are in the middle of construction, you will still see some amazing decorations with an island persuasion. It’s always worth it to stop in at the Poly and receive a leis!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has some of the most majestic decorations on the Monorail route. Along with the large Christmas tree in the center of the lobby, there are dozens of smaller trees decorated around the large lobby area.
But how can you focus on the tree, when you can smell this large Gingerbread house? The details that go into decorating this are just breathtaking.
Disney knows how to make each of their resorts shine during the Holidays. The time and care they take in everything they do is remarkable.
