As Magical DIStractions has been reporting for quite some time now, the area formerly known as Downtown Disney is  undergoing a complete transformation and was officially renamed Disney Springs  in 2015.  With the transformation comes new dining and drinking establishments such as Morimoto Asia, The BOATHOUSE,  Dockside Margaritas and Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar.

Even more dining and shopping venues will soon be springing up in Disney Springs!  Thomas Smith, Editorial Content Director posted the following on Disney Parks Blog: “Today we’re thrilled to let you know that 30 more high-profile tenants will be setting up shop at Disney Springs just in time for this summer, including Anthropologie, LACOSTE, Under Armour, kate spade new york, Sephora and Lucky Brand, among others.”

Just look at the long list of dining and shopping experiences that will be opening at Disney Springs! These establishments will be opening in phases beginning May 15, 2016.

If you are visiting before May 15, 2016, there are still plenty of places to shop such as Twenty-Eight & Main Boutique and Super Hero Headquarters. Don’t forget the fan favorites Raglan Road, Rainforest Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich for dining, and for shopping visit the largest store in Disney Springs, World of Disney where you’re sure to find everything on your souvenir shopping list.

Being the true Southern gal, I was very excited to see Vera Bradley and the Coca-Cola Store on the list as those are two of my favorite things. With all of these wonderful new places to visit, I’m sure that my pocketbook will leave Disney Springs a lot slimmer than when it went in.
