I love coffee, and if the drink itself isn’t magical enough, add some Disney inspiration, and you have a morning drink that is practically perfect in  every way!  A little while back I jumped at the opportunity to share the news with you that Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company released the Disney Parks and Resorts Specialty Coffee Collection.  After the article was published,  I was excited to find out that Joffrey’s read it, and offered to send me a free bag of a flavor of my choosing.  I chose the blend inspired by the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disneyland Resort  based on the description of “a nutty flavor with deep chocolate undertones.”  How can you pass on that?!  After about a week, my roasted-just-for-me batch arrived at my doorstep.  I couldn’t wait to try it out!  Enclosed with my coffee was a sweet note from Joffrey’s.

I have been drinking my Carthay Circle coffee nearly everyday for about two months now.  The flavor of the coffee is so bold and rich, that it only takes a little bit to make my two cup morning serving.  This makes the coffee last a little longer, which is quite economical.  I could tell the first time I opened the bag that this isn’t your regular store bought coffee.  The grounds were much more fine than what I normally use, not nearly as dry and the aroma was much fresher.  The coffee, once brewed, is the perfect blend of bold and smooth; not overpowering and not bitter at all.  I just add a splash of cashew milk for some creaminess.  My favorite things to pair the Carthay Circle Restaurant blend with have been raspberry danish and cinnamon buns.  It complements the sweetness of those treats perfectly.

I have to say that I have been very pleased with Joffrey’s Disney Parks and Resorts Specialty Coffee Collection.  At first I was slightly leery of the price for a bag of coffee, but I can definitely tell the difference between the quality of Joffrey’s coffee versus just a regular supermarket brand, and like I mentioned before, a little bit goes a long way.  I can’t wait to try out some of the other flavors.  Have you tried any of the Disney Parks and Resorts inspired blends?  I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations on which flavor I should try next!
