Sometimes visiting Disneyland Resort during the hot summer months is unavoidable and the heat and humidity (yes, it can be humid in California!) can destroy a vacation fast. Check out my must pack items to help you beat the heat while still having a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Frogg Togg Chilly Pads
Frogg Toggs Chilly Pads are a must, especially when dealing with the humidity. Many don’t associate “heat” with Disneyland, but let me tell you in the summer it is almost unbearable at times. So I even pack ours for our short day trips to Disneyland.

Mister spray bottle
Whether it’s a fancy Disney one or a cheapy from Wal-Mart a mister spray bottle is a must have! Besides helping cool you down with the fan and mist it can keep kids entertained for hours! And let me tell you that is a godsend when waiting in lines in the heat.
Fan
I have a personal hand fan in my Disney bag and I am amazed at how many times I use it. A little battery operated fan is perfect to help move the hot, sticky air while standing in line and helps cool you down. Those standing behind you will appreciate it too!
Tylenol/Excedrin
I don’t know about you, but when I spend too much time in the hot sun I end up with a headache. I always make sure to keep a small travel size bottle in my bag, so I can try stop it in its tracks before it becomes too much to handle.
Hydro Flask
I L-O-V-E my Hydro Flask water bottle! Hydro Flasks are specially designed to keep liquid ice cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 6 hours. But the best part is you can keep your bottle in your bag without worry that it will get other items wet, because Hydro Flasks don’t sweat!

Anti-chafing stick
Ok, this one is for the ladies- I use the Bodyglide anti-chafing stick and the Bodyglide Skin Glide cream, but there are many options on the market. My thighs have always touched… It has been my life forever, so this is one way to combat that. (Psst Ladies, It also works wonders when put on under your underwire bra, especially in the humidity!
I never head to Disneyland without these six (6) items! If I’m being honest, I take them anytime I know I’ll be out in the heat for an extended period of time, even when I’m not at Disneyland.
