If you are looking for a Walt Disney World Resort restaurant for a special occasion, this might be a wonderful place for you. Narcoossee’s is one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. It is signature dining so it is pricier than average (and will cost two dining credits if you are on a Disney Dining Plan). However, I feel that you get your money’s worth!
Let’s talk location! Narcoossee’s is set on the waterfront at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The view from the restaurant is top-notch. The restaurant looks across the Seven Seas Lagoon towards the Magic Kingdom. If you time your reservation right, you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from here. You can see them from inside the restaurant, or walk outside to their wrap-around deck and watch from there. They dim the lights and pipe in the music so you get full effect! You can also catch the Electrical Water Pageant passing by as you enjoy your stellar meal.
The food is excellent. There is a nice selection of soups, salads, and appetizers. Personally, I enjoy the Prince Edward Island mussels. The wine-saffron broth is delicious. Once the mussels are gone, I use bread to dip into the broth! Entrees are excellent and there are enough choices to please just about every palate. Desserts are amazing as well. It’s also nice to see “no sugar added” desserts at many restaurants at Walt Disney World for those that need that option. Kids menu items are also available.
To get here, you can take the monorail to Disney’s Grand Floridian and walk through the resort toward the water. Or take a water launch from the Magic Kingdom to the dock that is right next to the restaurant.
Narcoossee’s is a wonderful special occasion dining experience. Or if you are looking to have dinner with that special someone, with a romantic setting, you won’t go wrong here. There is a dress code – business casual is requested (no tank tops, torn jeans, etc). Reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days prior to your visit. The menu does change, but no matter when I have visited, it’s been a win!
Great article. Love this reastaurant,my favorite at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort and Spa .
Can’t wait for my February trip to visit again.
