The newest details for Shanghai Disney Resort were released yesterday by Bob Iger, Disney Chairman and CEO! These plans are exciting and elaborately showcase the 6 themed lands that have been created just for Shanghai Disneyland Park!

As always, the Park will feature a castle in the center of the park- and Shanghai Disneyland Park promises to be not only the tallest and largest, but the most interactive! Disney characters will be found in the different themed lands, along with traditional live stage productions and thrilling attractions that have NEVER been seen before.

The themed lands include:

• Fantasyland– Home of the Enchanted Storybook Castle, where Guests will find similar rides such as Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight. Of course, something unique for Shanghai will be a Wonderland maze.
• Treasure Cove– Aargh, Matey’s! Here is where Guests will find the first ever Pirate-theme land in a Disney Park! With a new take on the classic Pirates of the Caribbean, the Battle for the Sunken Treasure will sure to delight fans with its cutting-edge robotics, animation and multi-media! There will also be Explorer Canoes and a meal at Barbossa’s Bounty!
• Adventure Isle– Discover a lost world, filled with treasure and mysteries yet to be discovered. The mighty Roaring Mountain calls out to Guests as it towers over them. Guests will also see Camp Discovery, travel on Soaring over the Horizon or take dip on the Roaring Rapids where a mysterious and fearsome creature has its rule.
• Tomorrowland– Another take on the classic land, but this time Tomorrowland is filled with TRON Lightcycle PowerRun, Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue and break the bonds of gravity on Jet Packs. This video shows us a glimpse of what Tomorrowland at Shanghai Disneyland will look like! 

• Mickey Avenue– The main entry of this spectacular park is completely inspired by Mickey Mouse and his pals! There will be plenty of characters to meet in this whimsical avenue as well as shopping at Avenue M Arcade.
• Gardens of Imagination– Dedicated to the wonder of nature and imagination, Guests enter a world of whimsy! With Dumbo the Flying Elephant as well as the Fantasia Carousel, this land will bring classics to life in new ways!

The Walt Disney Company and the Shanghai Shendi Group broke ground on Shanghai Disney Resort in 2011 and the Park is expected to open in the spring 2016!
