Every year we visit Walt Disney World Resort the first thing we do is make Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations for our daughter. She loves everything about the transformation experience and it is often a major highlight of our trip. Something we noticed however, is that our son often felt left out seeing his sister have this wonderful and amazing transformation and everyone gushing over her.
Enter The Pirates League!
Located in Magic Kingdom Park‘s Adventureland, a world of swashbuckling fun and adventure awaits you. The moment we stepped up to the podium and were greeted by our hostess the fun began! First, we chose our package which ranged from $34.95 – $79.95 and then they immediately brought Isaac in and performed a ceremony to choose his ‘Pirate Name’. Our son would no longer be known as Isaac but instead, Jeremiah Goldstealer!
The Muster Station where the transformations take place reminds me of being in the bowels of an old creaky pirate ship. Dimly lit, beautifully themed, and all of the cast members are in full character to make the adventure more fun.
Once the makeup is complete the new pirates must recite the pirate oath and then they are ushered into Captain Jack’s treasure room via secret entrance. This was seriously the most exciting part of the entire experience. I don’t want to give anything away as it is much better to be surprised!
We had an amazing time and this is definitely on our must-do list for future visits to the parks!
I present, Jeremiah Goldstealer!
Distracted Tips:
BOOK EARLY
This is Walt Disney World after all and as you know things book up fast! If you forget to book it doesn’t hurt to walk up to the podium and see if they have any openings. We saw a family do this and they got in right away!
BUY YOUR COSTUME BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
The provided costumes and accessories were a bit on the expensive side for our budget but if you bring a costume from home you can have full choice over what it looks like before the makeup is applied. There are some accessories and costume pieces that you just won’t find here that could make the transformation more complete!
GIRLS CAN GO TOO!!
Perhaps your daughter isn’t into princesses! That is absolutely fine. Not only do they have a “mermaid” package, girls feel more than welcome sitting down for the traditional pirate packages! In fact one of the Cast Members told me that the split is close to 50/50 for girls to boys participating!
Have you ever experienced the Pirate League? I would LOVE to see your photos and hear about your experiences! Let me know in the comments!
