You hear the words “theme park” and immediately think of all the rides and shows that you will get to experience. However, Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park actually has a few play areas for families to enjoy. So go ahead, let Junior have another scoop of ice cream and let him run around in one of these areas.
My favorite has to be the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station located in Fantasyland. This is a perfect place to cool down on a hot day. The Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station is located right outside of Dumbo and the Walt Disney World Railroad station. This is a great area to bring little ones that may not be tall enough to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. My girls love running through seeing if they can beat the sprays of water- I still haven’t figured out if the winner is the wettest or the driest!

DIStracted Tip: Make sure you reapply sunscreen before your little ones start playing!
Other great areas to run around at the Magic Kingdom are Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland and the Swiss Family Treehouse in Adventureland. These two areas offer a lot of shade and are often overlooked by Guests. Take your time to enjoy these areas and give your kids some freedom to explore these time capsules.
