This year is Raglan Road Irish Pub’s 10^th Anniversary and Chef Kevin Dundon has announced a Master Chef Cooking Contest. Applicants need to submit a 30 second to 2 minute video featuring an Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert that is worthy of the 10 year anniversary menu. The deadline to submit your video is Tuesday, April 21st with five (5) finalists being chosen by Chef Dundon on April 28th. Those five finalists will receive the trip of a lifetime! On May 21st the finalists will fly to Ireland (all expenses paid!) where they will stay at Dundon’s resort and cooking school, Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Wexford.

On May 20, 2015, finalists will cook a dish chosen by Chef Dundon at the Raglan Road 10^th Anniversary (private) dinner in Orlando. Applicants must have a valid passport and be able to travel to and from Orlando International Airport.

Here at Magical DIStractions we have a vested interest in the contest as our very own Author and Editor, Christen Goff, has entered! Christen is a foodie at heart. She has a passion for food (especially Disney food!) Raglan Road Irish Pub has always been her favorite restaurant in Walt Disney World Resort. Christen called me several weeks ago and told me about the contest and asked if I thought she should enter. Naturally I wondered why in the world she even questioned it. This is a no-brainer! The girl can cook, the contest is for her favorite restaurant, the restaurant is a Disney establishment, she is a Disney travel agent AND a Disney blogger, and the prize is a trip to Ireland! It didn’t take her long to start working on her video. We are very excited to say that Christen submitted her video this past Thursday. Christen, we are all very proud of you and are sending lots of pixie dust your way!
