Background
At Disney’s Pop Century Resort, guests are transported back in time to visit decades of the 20th Century! From jukeboxes, bowling pins and 8-track tapes, to laptops and cell phones, the memorabilia, crazes, and catch phrases that defined the 20th century surround you at this 2,880-room Value Resort Hotel. Each building is a larger-than-life “time capsule” of pop culture which will take you on a trip down memory lane, from Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead, to mood rings and roller blades, to Lady and the Tramp. Each section of the resort represents a different decade from the 1950’s to the 1990’s.
Check-in
Guest check-in is handled upon entrance to the Resort at the Classic Hall. If you are arriving via Magical Express, you will be dropped off at Classic Hall. If you are driving, you will need to stop at the guard house, show your I.D. and you’ll then be directed to the large parking lot outside of Classic Hall. Parking is abundant.
Classic Hall
Located inside Classic Hall are guest check-in/out, concierge services, airline check-in, the resort store, package pick-up, food court, and an arcade. Valuables too large to fit in the in-room safes can be left with Guest Services in Classic Hall where they will be securely locked away. Ask for more information when you check in. If you need assistance getting your luggage to your room, Bell Services will be happy to assist you. Simply stop by their desk or call them from your room telephone.
Fast Forward Arcade is located in Classic Hall. There are all sorts of games for the guests to enjoy during their stay.
Store and Food Court
Pop Century’s store and food court, Everything Pop, sells both Disney related and non-Disney themed items and also stocks an assortment of snacks, drinks and assorted sundries. If you forgot to pack something, it’s safe to bet that you’ll find it in Everything Pop.
The Everything Pop Food court has has several different stations for guests to choose from so you can rest assured that everyone in your party will find something that they’ll want to dine on.
There are microwaves in the food court for the guests to use.
Also in the Everything Pop Food Court is a mug washing station.
Rapid Refill mugs are sold in the food court and can be filled at the drink stations located in the food court.

Rooms at the resort are 260 square feet and have either two double beds or one king. The wall art, bed coverings and other cute touches are designed to go with the area of the resort your room is located in.

The Various Themes at Pop Century Resort
The 1950s buildings feature giant icons such at a 40 foot tall jukebox, giant sock hop dancers and Lady and the Tramp from Disney animated feature film.
In the 1960s are of the resort, Play-Doh creations can been seen peeking out of huge cans of Play-Doh. Baloo and Mowgli from the 1967 movie, “The Jungle Book” stand in the courtyard. **DIStracted tip: See if you can spot the thumbprint on the elephant’s ear.
If you are a child of the 1970s, you are sure to recognize the Big Wheel riding toy and Mickey Mouse telephone in the 1970s section of the resort. One can’t forget about the eight-track tapes used in that decade.
The 1980s area features jumbo sized Rubik’s Cubes that are over 40 feet tall and a model of a Sony Walkman.
The last, but certainly not least, section is the 1990s area. A giant laptop and one of the first models of a cell phone stand tall on the corners of the buildings.

Resort Recreation
There are three pools for guests to enjoy during their stay.
Guests can take a dip in the bowling pin-shaped pool in the 1950s area of the resort.
The resort’s main pool, The Hippy Dippy Pool is the centerpiece of the 1960s section. Disney cast members host daily activities, weather permitted, near the Hippy Dippy Pool. Guests wanting a refreshing drink can visit Petals Pool Bar that also near the main pool.
Located in the 1990s themed area of the resort, guests can take a relaxing swim in a pool which looks like a really oversized computer.
Guests will need to bring their own towels to the resort pools as they are not provided. Towel return bins are there for the guests to use. If you need additional towels in your room, simply press Housekeeping on your room phone and they’ll be delivered to you.
If the kids in your party need to burn off some of their excess energy, take an almost hidden wooden pathway between Classic Hall and building 10 and you’ll find a playground area specifically designed for the youngsters.
Want to play a game of Twister? Head on over to the 1960s area of the resort to play on one of the permanent outdoor mats!
There’s also a walking/jogging trail for those who wanting to take a relaxing walk or exhilarating jog.

Pop Century Dining Options
Guests eating in the Everything Pop Food Court have a variety of foods to choose from. Not only do they serve the more traditional items like pizza and burgers but guests can also dine on shrimp and goat cheese flatbread, roasted pork loin, roasted vegetables and tofu. Pop Century is also known for it’s Pop waffles and tie-dye cheesecake!
The Disney Dining Plan is accepted in the Everthing Pop Food Court.

Laundry facilities are available for guests to use during their stay at Pop Century Resort. Vending machines sell the items that you will need to do your load(s) of laundry. Change machines are also in the laundry facilities.

Pop Century Transportation
Bus service to all four theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney runs one hour prior to park opening and one hour after park closing. Buses are scheduled to run every twenty minutes. That’s the official word from Disney; however, guests may notice that they run earlier, later and more frequently than the official time.
The resort has a single bus stop and it’s located outside of Classic Hall. There are separate lines for each of the theme parks and Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney). At the present time, buses to the Animal Kingdom also stop at Blizzard Beach and the Disney Springs buses also stop at Typhoon Lagoon. There is a possibility that there will soon be separate buses for the water parks.
