Spring (and some high-energy music) will soon be in the air as the Garden Rocks Concert Series (formerly known as the Flower Power Concert Series) returns to the annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Disney has released the eleven bands scheduled to perform at this year’s festival, taking place March 4- May 17, 2015. The performances will be held in the America Gardens Theatre located near the American Adventure in Epcot’s World Showcase. Scheduled times are 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00 p.m. and the concerts are included with admission to Epcot.
This year’s lineup features the following bands.
March 6-8: Gin Blossoms
March 13-15: Pablo Cruise
March 20-22: En Vogue
March 27-29: Starship
April 3-5: The Orchestra starring former members of ELO
April 10-12: Village People
April 17-19: Jon Secada
April 24-26: The Guess Who
May 1-3: Taylor Dayne
May 8-10 Little River Band
May 15-17: Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone
The Garden Rocks Concert Series accompanies other festival experiences such as interactive play areas for kids, topiary displays, themed and interactive flower and garden displays featuring tips and techniques, educational presentations by well-known designers, and festival-themed merchandise available for purchase. How the heck did Jon Secada, a Cuban singer singing Spanish songs become part of the “flower power” concert series?? I’m not saying he isn’t a good performer, but we all know what “flower power” means… sheesh (I also don’t know how village people got there…)
