If you’ve ever ridden Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland, then you have seen the gorgeous restaurant that sits right on the water’s edge. Blue Bayou Restaurant is hidden in a little corner of New Orleans Square in Disneyland right outside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride exit. This little restaurant looks like it was picked up and moved from New Orleans, LA, and is extremely popular with guests. Low lights, soft music, and great food make it the perfect spot for a nice romantic dinner for two (2), and that is exactly how we celebrated our anniversary this past December.
Blue Bayou Dinner Menu
As we were seated, we were served warm sourdough dinner roll and sweet potato cheese biscuit. I absolutely adored the sweet potato cheese biscuits! For drinks, I enjoyed the Louisiana lemonade which is Minute Maid Light Lemonade and Sprite with flavors of mango and raspberry, and my husband ordered the traditional mint julep. Both drinks were unbelievably delicious!
We split the surf & turf which includes lobster tail and filet mignon, Blue Bayou au gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables, topped with béarnaise sauce and served with your choice of the Blue Bayou house salad or cup of their signature gumbo. But because we split the meal, I was able to get the house salad while my husband was able to get a cup of the signature New Orleans gumbo. The food was fantastic, and filling. We didn’t order any dessert, but I’m sure any of the choices would have been incredible.
Picturesque Surroundings
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a picture perfect restaurant, and the atmosphere is straight out of New Orleans. Everyone should take the opportunity to eat there, and escape the hectic outside world at least once!
