Soarin

Paperwork has been filed which leads me to believe Disney will be adding a third theatre building to the Soarin’ attraction in Epcot.

Soarin’ has been popular since its debut in 2005 in Epcot. It is one of the only major rides which can be experienced by the whole family no matter what their age. The introduction of FastPass+ and standby lines have greatly assisted with the capacity issue for the attraction.

A permit has been submitted to ”Add facility to existing attraction -Project 87.” The location of Project 87 is in the same area as Soarin’. Building contracter PCL, who has worked with Disney on various other large projects, is rumoured to be involved.

A new film for the ride is underway which would presumably be ready in time for the relaunch of the ‘New’ Soarin’ scheduled to open sometime around September 2016.

Disney has not yet confirmed this information which makes this just a rumour!
