Heading to Walt Disney World? You might want to leave your selfie sticks at home.
In breaking news today Walt Disney World has banned selfie sticks from rides and attractions! Cast Members are being instructed to look for guests with a selfie stick, and ask them to put them. If a guest is spotted using the selfie stick while the ride or attraction is in motion the Cast Members may have to stop the ride until the pesky stick is stowed properly.
What are your thoughts on guests using a Selfie Stick in the Parks?

This sure sounds like a Memory Maker marketing strategy to me! I personally find the selfie sticks hilarious! I cannot even imagine hauling one of these around the Parks!
Donna says
I think they ought to be banned in the entire park in general. It is bad enough with people stopping in the middle of the walkways to take selfies but you get them swinging around with that stick in their hand and it could be dangerous. Someone is going to get poked in the eye!
Caroline Knowles says
I totally agree!! Those sticks can be dangerous!
Christen Francis says
I want them banned EVERYWHERE! hopefully this is a first step towards that.

Banning Seilfie Stick Pro in a place like that is really a big lost for many people who loves taking selfie’s. 🙂
Renee Virata says
Disney isn’t banning the selfie stick from the entire park. They are enforcing their rule of no arms, legs, ect allowed outside the ride when it is in motion, which includes selfie sticks.
Bret says
Seflie sticks are just as pathetic as the people who take selfies…if you’re that shallow, lose the stick, take a look around at the other people around you, concentrate on findings friends that will take pictures of you instead of impeding on the view, the vibe, and the good times within the parks. Part of the magic of going to parks used to be taking pictures for folks when they asked or asking others to take them for you, then laughing at the funny pics while in line for the next attraction. BAN THE STICK!!!!
