We only have a few weeks before Disneyland Resort officially begins the Diamond Celebration and everyone is already getting excited.

I am excited about all of the new merchandise that is being sold throughout the parks as of this month. One of the eagerly anticipated items are the Limited Edition Diamond Pins. Guests have the opportunity to purchase the Countdown Series pin for that month at one of the following locations: Julius Katz & Sons in Disney California Adventure park, Little Green Men Store Command at Disneyland park, and Disney Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney District.

The next recent pin to go on sale will be the Yellow Pin which will be released on May 14, 2015. The April edition (Purple Pin) saw crowds queuing in anticipation for getting their hands on one of the 3,000 Limited Edition Diamond Pin. June 18th is when the Navy Pin will be available, followed by July 16th when the Silver Pin will be released of which there will be 5,000 up for grabs.

DIStracted Tip: Due to the popularity and limited supply of these pins, Disneyland has a unique system in place to purchase these pins. They will hand out wristbands entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase the current Countdown Series pin. Wristbands will be distributed near Rainforest Café in the Downtown Disney District around 7:00a.m. (Time subject to change). After initial distribution, wristbands will then be available at Julius Katz & Sons, Little Green Men Store Command, and Disney Pin Traders until 12 Noon or while supplies last.

The Celebration merchandise has been put into three sections The Diamond Collection, The Character Collection, and The Castle Collection.

The Diamond Collection is one word – mesmerizing! With black, silver, and grey tones the merchandise look is more classic and elegant. These items will be special and can last forever. Limited quantities available.

The Character Collection focuses on the history of the park and the characters within it; some favourite looks will return but will have a bit of a modern twist to it.

The Castle Collection is more hypnotic in its look with brilliant blues and hues of silver. The idea was to capture the love of Sleeping Beauty and her castle. The most iconic piece in the whole park needed its own collection as it holds a special place for many in their heart. Also featured in this range is Mickey and Minnie iconic as the castle is and as everlasting as a diamond.

All pieces are now on sale so why not check the new collections out when you are visiting. You never know what gems you may find.
