The California Grill is located on the very top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, on the 15th floor. The only way to get to the restaurant is by a private elevator only accessed by those with dining reservations. This is by far my most favorite restaurant in all of Walt Disney World! Not only will you find the most amazing panoramic view of the Seven Seas Lagoon, Cinderella’s Castle and the Magic Kingdom, you will also experience one of the most mouthwatering meals of your life! The service is absolutely impeccable at this award-winning restaurant.
Californian cuisine celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients and the international, melting-pot culture of the Golden State. Changing seasonally, the menu may include such specialties as handmade Sonoma goat cheese ravioli, steamed mussels and oak-grilled filet of beef.
Delight in mouthwatering sushi, as well as flavorful brick oven-fired flatbreads. Then polish off a perfect meal with decadent desserts like warm chocolate cake and cheesecake.
To complement their entrées, Guests 21 years of age and up can select from over 300 hand-picked wines—most of which are from California. Over 50 are available by the glass, and sommeliers are on hand to offer pairing suggestions.
California Grill has the most amazing sushi I have ever put in my mouth. I like to think I am well versed on sushi and I eat it everywhere I travel. Hands down, California Grill has the best sushi of any restaurant I have ever been to, anywhere! Their Dragon Roll and Spicy Kazan Roll are culinary experiences one will never forget.
California Grill’s Sunday Brunch experience begins with a delivery to your table of an assortment of house-made pastries. Savor such incredible delights as cranberry-pecan scones, Tillamook cheddar biscuits, and caramel apple Monkey bread accompanied by orange blossom honey butter and house-made jam.
Once Guests have had their fill of pastries, they may head over to the open show kitchen to interact with the culinary team and enjoy small tastes of spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura with orange drizzle and mango, California rolls with jumbo lump crabmeat, hardwood-smoked salmon, house-smoked orange honey ham, Greek yogurt with vanilla-scented granola and fresh berries, baby iceberg wedge with Cherrywood bacon and avocado-buttermilk Ranch dressing, deviled Lake Meadow Naturals eggs, and kale and apple salad. And believe it or not, that list is just a sampling of what’s available!
