Staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a breath of fresh air. From the moment you enter the lobby and take in that welcoming, clean scent, a feeling of calm gently washes over you, reminding you that even on an exciting jam packed Disney vacation, you should take a moment or two to relax. Sit in the lobby or on the back porch in a wooden rocking chair as you soak in the flowers and view of Crescent Lake. Your room will soothe you with its beach theme, comfy beds and cool white sheets.
Disney’s Beach Club offers Disney’s finest in amenities, dining and location. No matter what category of room you book, your location is one of the best on Walt Disney World property. A pleasant stroll of about 5 minutes will lead you to the International Gateway of Epcot. A relaxing complimentary Friendship Boat ride or longer walk brings you to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Of course, free bus transportation is also available to all of the other Walt Disney World parks and Downtown Disney. Disney’s Beach Club is adjacent to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and a short walk away from Disney’s Boardwalk area.
DIStracted Tip: From the lobby, follow the signs toward Room 1501 to find the “secret door,” an exit that places you just a few minutes away from the International Gateway of Epcot. Hotel guests can enter from the same door with their Magic Band room key.
Besides its prime location, Disney’s Beach Club Resort has some great dining options. Cape May Café offers a character breakfast and an abundant seafood buffet at dinner. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a great spot for casual dining and over the top ice cream confections including the world-famous Kitchen Sink sundae. And the Beach Club Marketplace has a great variety of quick service options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The crown jewel of Disney’s Beach Club Resort is Stormalong Bay, the expansive water park shared with the adjoining Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. With lots of room to splash and swim in the sandy bottom pool, a waterslide housed in a shipwreck, a lazy river, and several relaxing hot tubs. Be sure to plan time to relax by the pool, enjoy the fun activities and have a drink or snack at Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill.
Disney’s Beach Club also offers evening campfires, movies under the stars, boat rentals, and so much more. It is my first choice among Disney’s Deluxe resorts.
Visit, and be sure to take a deep breath and relax when you first come home.
