Are you a serious Disney Memorabilia collector? If you are, you will want to mark November 21, 2015 on your calendar. November 21st is the date of the latest auction “Collecting Disneyland“ that will see over 800 items sold to the highest bidders. The last auction “The Story of Disneyland” held in February of 2015 generated sales of more than$1.7 million.
The “Collecting Disneyland” auction is being hosted by the Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, California and will allow the ultimate Disneyana Collectors a chance to own their own piece of Disney history. If you live locally, the exhibit will be on display from October 29 – November 20, 2015.
The majority of items come from Disneyland, however there are items from Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland. The largest items up for auction will be a pair of restored People Mover train cars which Van Eaton expects will sell for around $200,000. There is also a ride car from Space Mountain® which will fetch an estimated $50,000.
If these prices are out of your budget, more modestly priced items include an original park bench that sat on Main Street, U.S.A. on opening day in 1955, Original Pins, Cast Member Gifts, Cast Member Costumes, Original Art Cells, Concept Art & Models, Restaurant Menus and Serving Ware, Park Souvenirs, Attraction Tickets, Attraction Props and Attraction Posters.
