My Spoiler FREE Review
The Last Jedi kicks off the minute it starts and doesn’t stop. There was so much that happened, I haven’t even processed it all yet. I’ve been replaying scenes over and over since last night. I’m not sure I even slept. The Last Jedi needs to be seen at least twice in theaters to fully grasp everything that happened.
Tears fell. Not for the reason you expect. I have been looking forward to this movie since before the credits were rolling on The Force Awakens. I’m not sure if it was from pure anticipation, but I was so incredibly attached to the film. I was holding back tears the minute it started. The Last Jedi was a film that struck a cord with me that I soon won’t forget.
Love and hate are strong in this film. Sometimes so intertwined that it’s hard to distinguished between the two.
Laughs. I don’t know if I’ve ever laughed so much at a Star Wars film before. I rather enjoyed it. But I will confess some of the comedic moments weren’t needed. Overall, they lighted the mood when needed.
Twists and Turns in the plot answer some of your questions while others leave you needing more.
Long. Two and half hours long. Hit the bathroom BEFORE the movie and don’t drink all of that large soda. I’m not a big movie goer, because those dang seats are uncomfortable. But I feel like I blinked and it was over.
Is the Last Jedi Kid Friendly
There is some mild violence. Language is clean. I’m not even sure if I heard a swear word uttered in the whole film. There might be a kiss or two, but Star Wars films have never been overly sexual and this one isn’t either.
Did I mention that it’s long? This is probably the biggest issue for young ones. You’re not going to want to miss a minute for a potty break, so an I recommend seeing it once before taking the littles.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi was exactly what I needed it to be and everything I didn’t know I wanted.
Run don’t walk to your nearest theaters, because see it you MUST!
And may the Force be with you always.
