Trattoria al Forno, located at Disney’s Boardwalk, delivers authentic Italian dishes, inspired by farms in the countryside and includes an open kitchen. The family-friend menu of course includes pizza and pasta, but they also serve hand-crafted mozzarella, imported charcuterie & cheese. The wine list is 100% Italian wine- which includes 70 different wines from the 20 Italian wine regions. Signature cocktails, Italian beers and sodas will satisfy your thirst and signature-blend Italian coffee will comfort your soul.
Chef Dee Foundoukis leads the kitchen and created a menu that echoes the diversity of Italy. From Sicily- veal Marsala, Campania- pizza, Lazio- spaghetti alla carbonara, Emilio-Romagna- parmigaino reggiano and finally from Lombardy- risotto. The “Sunday Gravy” is the pride of Chef Foundoukis. This “gravy” is a simple tomato sauce made with chicken stock, fennel, herbs and das of red pepper flakes, served with spaghetti and 100% beef meatballs. Other favorites are the beef Bolognese, Chicken Parmesan and house made ciabatta.
All of those amazing dinner dishes are great- but that’s not all that Trattoria al Fornoserves. Breakfast includes waffles with espresso-mascarphone cream, caramel apple crumb pancakes, poached eggs with fennel sausage, parmesan and tomato gravy over soft polenta. This menu blends American favorites with classic tastes of Italy. Even simple dishes like oatmeal are enhanced with vanilla-blueberry flavors with maple syrup and scrambled eggs with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and seasoned with basil.
Trattoria al Forno is open 7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. for breakfast, 5 p.m.-10 p.m. for dinner, and accepts the Disney Dining Plan. For reservations, call 407-WDW-DINE or www.disneyworld.com/dine.
