La Cava Del Tequila

If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World with the intention of drinking through Epcot’s World Showase then this is the place to stop! La Cava Del Tequila, located in the Mexico pavilion of the World Showcase, is a small bar to sit and enjoy a drink. Along with enjoying some snacks, you can relax, and maybe meet some new friends! If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, this is not the place as the menu is mostly Margaritas and Tequila with just a couple snack options (and by a couple I mean chips and dip).

This is a must stop place for me every time I go to Walt Disney World, whether I have my kids or not. I have two children that are older (currently 19 and 13). While my husband and I sit and have some drinks the two older kids will take the younger two on Gran Fiesta Tour featuring The Three Caballeros, a fun little boat ride located towards the back left of the building.

On to the drinks! I always start off with the Cucumber Margarita. It’s a refreshing drink that is perfect on a hot Orlando day!

The Avocado Margarita is a favorite among a couple of friends of mine. Don’t let the color fool you…or the fact that it is made out of a fruit, disguised as a vegetable.

My mother-in-law loves the pineapple margarita. The sweetness of it is right up her alley!

A trip to La Cava isn’t complete without the Tequila Flight! It’s tradition for me to get the flight and share with my friend Jen (since she’s the only one brave enough to drink it straight with me!)

The Snacks at La Cava Del Tequila

By this point (or somewhere in between) you will need a little something to soak up the tequila you’ve had. The chips and trio of dips is a great way to do that! Chips served with Guacamole, Chile con Queso, and Salsa. All three are delicious but the Chile con Queso is so good that you’ll want seconds. (In the picture below you will also notice a drink with a foam on top, that is the Blood Orange Margarita and it is also delicious!)

The Friends You Make

All that liquid courage coursing through your body can cause you to make friends with your neighbors. La Cava is a small bar with very little room in between the tables. I have met many new friends this way! Don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with the people next to you; it can make your adventure at La Cava even more memorable than before. Want a great margarita but don’t want to hang out in the bar? You can get them to go!  Along with the margaritas, they also serve beer and other drinks. Be careful when starting your tour of the World Showcase here, you don’t want to miss out on the other countries because you had too much fun at La Cava. Also, if you plan to go here during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival, you may want to arrive early as it has been known to have a line out the door.
