The Curse is getting closer!
Busch Gardens’ Cobra’s Curse is well on its way to being completed. An official opening date for this ride has not been announced but its debut will be sometime in 2016, and it has been advised that the work is right on schedule. Could we possibly see a summer debut of this ride? 2016 is clearly the year of the thrill ride in Florida with many a stomach churning, head spinning ride debuting.
Cobra’s Curse will be like no other ride. When guests mount the ride they will be lifted into the air elevator-style and come face-to-face with the 4-foot fangs of an 80-foot serpent’s head, from which it has been said they will hear the animal hiss aggressively. The first phase of the ride will be forward facing, then it will spin riders and you will do the second phase backwards. But wait there’s more – the finale of this ride will be like no other and guests can maximize the feeling by doing a clever weight distribution of the guests in the car. The car will spin freely depending on the weight of the rider so every guest will experience this ride differently each time.
The ride will be situated in the Egypt but it will go around the park. The track is close to buildings and goes underground too. They want to give guests the uncomfortable feeling that they are too close to the buildings and might hit them. The ride is placed where Tuts Tomb once stood but fear not – it’s been upgraded in the sense that there is now AC so you will be nice and cool whilst waiting to get on the ride. To entertain guests they are placing a 7-foot tank full of different types of snakes that guests can view as they move along the queue.
Will you be one to try the Curse?
