After ten long years, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is getting a bit of an upgrade. A new raft ride will be making its way into the water park and will be placed near the Crush n Gusher slide. It is rumoured to be completed sometime next summer.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon was opened back in 1989 and houses three raft rides, a lazy river and a reef where guests can swim with tropical fish, sharks and stingrays. It also has a children’s area for the little ones to enjoy themselves and a giant wave pool which is popular amongst guests.
Disney has another water park, Blizzard Beach, which was opened in 1995 after Typhoon Lagoon proved popular with visitors. We do not have much more information about the new build but hopefully this will mean good things for the water parks at Disney. Keep checking back with us for updates on this exciting new ride.
