Last year I reported on my daughter’s first visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the Magic Kingdom. You can read a review of the event here. The experience was quite magical and when her birthday approached this year, she asked if she could go again. So, as we planned for her birthday trip this year we thought we would try Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique’s second, and newly opened location in Disney Springs, the recently re-imagined shopping and dining destination in the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney Springs used to be located in the rear of the World of Disney store in Disney Springs, but has moved to a new stand-alone location. As opposed to the location in the Magic Kingdom, the new location in Disney Springs allows for more room to check in, additional dressing rooms for donning your princess (or knight) apparel, and more makeover chairs for your little princess or prince.

DIStracted Tip: Make sure to make your reservations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique ahead of time, as it is quite popular. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance.

You will first notice the difference in the check-in area. As you enter the location, there are two check-in desks, as well as two seating areas where you await to be called back for the transformation experience. Once you decide which makeover package you want, you will be escorted back to one of the many dressing rooms by a royal hostess to begin your journey. The hostess will escort you to the dressing room and confirm your package choice and then leave you to don your choice or princess attire. However, spoiler alert, once the hostess leaves the dressing room, you will be visited by the Fairy Godmother herself! In the full-size mirror in the dressing room, the Fairy Godmother will appear and tell you all about your upcoming experience.

DIStracted Tip: You can pick  from a number of princess outfits available, or you can bring your own princess attire.

After your encounter, you will be lead to a secondary waiting area, where you will then be escorted to the station of your very own godmother in training. This is where you will spend the majority of your transformation experience. While in this room, you will notice the nice tall ceilings and beautiful decorations, as well as the extra seating area for your guests.

DIStracted Tip: There is limited seating in the makeover area, so parents will likely have to stand during their daughter’s transformation.

Finally, once you have been transformed into your favorite princess, you will be escorted to one last room, where a photographer will give you your very own photo session complete with Cinderella’s Royal Carriage.

Overall, the new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is absolutely worth a visit if you have a little princess or prince at home.
