The amazing new MagicBand is available as part of the vacation package to guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels. Guests staying off-site, may purchase a MagicBand for $12.95, plus tax, upon arrival at select Disney merchandise locations.  With one tap of a MagicBand, Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests can enter their Disney Resort guest room, access FastPass+ experiences and attractions, use as a payment method for food and merchandise, enter Disney theme parks and water parks, and connect to Disney’s PhotoPass/Memory Maker. With the free My Disney Experience mobile application, park maps and information about attractions, show times, dining, FastPass+ and more are accessible at the touch of a button. MagicBands and My Disney Experience are part of MyMagic+, which has the ability connect nearly all aspects of the guest vacation experience at Walt Disney World Resort.

You cannot imagine how excited I was to receive the box containing my MagicBands!! For those of you planning surprise vacations, do not worry! Disney sends this box to you in a larger, plain, brown one. This way if your mailman leaves the package on the front porch the children will not know what it is even if they are the ones who pick it up! Phew!!

For guests staying onsite, you will have the option to choose your color and name for your MagicBand near the 45-day mark prior to your vacation. You will receive notifications on My Disney Experience reminding you when you can begin making these selections. Many guests have chosen to personalize their MagicBands with custom bands, MagicBandits and Magic Sliders. You can purchase the MagicBandits and MagicSliders at most merchandise locations throughout Walt Disney World, as well as online at the Disney Store prior to your vacation.

One of the most popular sites to purchase custom bands from is Cover Bands. Here you will find a large variety of characters, themes, designs, princesses, villains, and much more! For the creative guests, you can visit Pinterest and find lots of different ways to decorate your MagicBand yourself. The sky is the limit!
