Universal’s Islands of Adventure is a theme park in Orlando, Florida. It opened on May 28, 1999, along with CityWalk, as part of an expansion that converted Universal Studios Florida into the Universal Orlando Resort.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster. This thrill ride accelerates from zero to 40 mph in two seconds flat, with the force equal to that of a jet taking off an aircraft carrier. The world turns upside down as you experience a weightless “zero g” roll. Then you feel a surge in power as you pick up speed and a menacing roar fills your ears. All you can do is hang on as you experience the rage, power and fury of the Hulk, smashing through the sky and plummeting down to earth on a high-speed roller coaster rampage of destruction. You must be 54″ tall to ride.
Storm Force Accelatron. Professor Xavier (X-Men) has enlisted you to help Storm battle the evil Magneto. You must board Professor Xavier’s new device, the Accelatron, and use it to help amplify Storm’s powers. As you speed faster and faster in this whirling, twirling, spinning power generator, Storm produces thunder and lightning, sending Magneto into a full retreat. No Height Requirement, but Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
Doctor Doom’s Fearfall. With menacing Doombots watching your every move, you’re strapped into your seat. The tension builds. Suddenly the countdown reaches zero and you are rocketed skyward, 185 feet into the air, then hurled back down faster than the force of gravity itself. Doctor Doom’s diabolical device has done its work… he collects the fear from your body and sends you on your way, ready to claim his next victim. You must be 52″ tall to ride.
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. The diabolical villains of the Sinister Syndicate have stolen the Statue of Liberty and it’s up to Spidey to save the day. You’ll follow right alongside the web-slinger, careening and crashing through the streets, scaling skyscrapers and plummeting to the pavement below in a simulated 400-foot freefall. *Children between 40″-48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
Marvel Super Hero Island Dining
Cafe 4. Here you’ll find a convenient Italian eatery serving Pizza, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Fettuccini, Meatball Subs, and Chicken Caesar Salads. Tell your hunger, “It’s clobberin’ time!”
Captain America Diner. This is the place where heroes hang out, and you’ll see them all over the walls of this star spangled diner. Enjoy an All-American menu of Cheeseburgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Fingers, and Crispy Chicken Salads.

Me Ship, The Olive. Come aboard Popeye’s ship, the Olive. This colorful ship is actually an imaginative play area for kids. On its three decks you’ll find passageways to crawl through, slides to go down, cargo nets to climb, horns to toot, a bell to ring and more, nestled among the ship’s cargo of spinach, spinach and more spinach. Best of all, on the second deck you’ll find water cannons which you can use to squirt unsuspecting passengers of Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges® sailing by below. Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges. As you splash and churn your way through the waterways of Sweet Haven you’ll sail through a variety of amusing scenes and different ways to get you wet, including a fully-operational barge wash and an Octopus Grotto where you’ll encounter an 18-foot tall, 14-foot wide octopus with 10-foot long tentacles. Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls. Will Dudley Do-Right and his faithful horse, Horse, reach Nell in time to save the day? Will you be able to keep a straight face as you encounter the hilarious puns and visual jokes that mark your journey? Will you stay dry when you experience the incredibly steep plummet down Ripsaw Falls? Blondie’s: Home of the Dagwood. Nothing tastes better than a gravity-defying sandwich stacked with fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables and dressings. That’s what you get at Blondie’s deli featuring made-to-order Deli Subs and Sandwiches including the famous, piled-high “Dagwood.”
Cathy’s Ice Cream. Better think twice if you want to fit into that new swimsuit––but, just like Cathy Guisewite’s beloved comic character Cathy––sometimes you just can’t resist! Enjoy Sundaes, Shakes and Waffle Cones featuring Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.

Jurassic Park
Camp Jurassic. In this prehistoric playground kids can explore secret caves and wander through a mysterious amber mine.
- Pteranodon Flyers. Located in the Camp Jurassic® play area inside Jurassic Park®, the Pteranodon Flyers enable you to glide and soar through the air to get a prehistoric bird’s-eye-view of the surrounding area. Note: This attraction is designed for children 36″ to 56″ in height. Guests over 56″ in height must be accompanied by a child meeting the 36″ height requirement. Children between 36″-56″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
Jurassic Park River Adventure. Gently glide past an enormous Ultrasaurus. See a baby Stegosaurus and its mother. Watch out for the Dilophosauruses, commonly known as “spitters.”
Suddenly you’re bumped off course and into a restricted section of the park… the Raptor Containment Area. The power to the fences is down. The raptors have broken loose! You ascend into the Environmental Systems Building as chaos unfolds around you. The lights are out. Raptors stalk your every move. Thunder Falls Terrace. Now these are some bones you can really sink your teeth into. You’ll be glad you’re a meat eater when you catch the aroma of sizzling BBQ Ribs, Wraps, Rotisserie Chicken, Smoked Turkey Legs, Soup and Salads.
The Watering Hole. You never know who you’ll run into at The Watering Hole, from lounge lizards to hungry creatures seeking their next munchy snack. Here you’ll find Hot Dogs, Wings, Chili, Nachos, Beer, Wine, Cocktails and Frozen Beverages.
The Burger Digs. This is where Jurassic Park’s staff paleontologists take a break from unearthing fossils and dig in to mouth-watering Burgers and Garden Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Tenders and ice cold drinks.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Enter through the towering castle gates and make your way down the familiar passageways and corridors of Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You’ll visit iconic locations such as Dumbledore’s office, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, the Gryffindor™ common room, the Room of Requirement and more.
Then get ready to soar above the castle grounds as you join Harry Potter™ and his friends on an unforgettably thrilling adventure, coming face-to-face with an array of magical creatures! This amazing attraction uses groundbreaking, state-of-the-art technology (and a little magic) to create a one-of-a-kind ride experience. You must be 48″ tall to ride.
Flight of the Hippogriff. Pass by Hagrid’s hut and follow his instructions as you learn the proper way to approach a Hippogriff, which has the head of a giant eagle and the body of a horse. Then it’s time to take a “training flight” aboard the Flight of the Hippogriff™, an enchanting family coaster woven from wicker and decorated with fluttering leaves representing feathers. Bow as you approach the ‘real’ Hippogriff, and then you’re spiraling and diving around the pumpkin patch, and swooping past Hagrid’s hut. You must be 36″ tall to ride.
Dragon Challenge. Marvel at the blazing Goblet of Fire™ and the shining Triwizard Cup as you take on the Dragon Challenge™. Choose your dragon: an aggressive Chinese Fireball or a ferocious Hungarian Horntail. Then climb aboard and hold on tight as the two dragons twist and loop in a intertwining roller coaster chase across the sky. Dragon Challenge is actually two high-speed roller coasters – each “dragon” is a completely different ride. You must be 54″ tall to ride.
Hogwarts Express – Hogsmeade Station. Departing Hogsmeade™ village in Islands of Adventure, a Hogwarts™ Prefect will guide you to your seating compartment aboard the Hogwarts™ Express. Once on your way, get ready to encounter familiar characters and creatures from the Harry Potter™ books and films. But be sure to keep your wits about you — because mischief could materialize at any moment! You’ll enjoy scenic views of the British countryside from the train window before arriving at your destination: King’s Cross Station in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ — Diagon Alley™, located inside Universal Studios Florida®.
Hogsmeade Entertainment
Tri Wizard Spirit Rally. Cheer on the colorful procession of students from Hogwarts™, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang as they lead the excitement for the Triwizard Tournament.
Frog Choir. Enjoy a presentation by a small choir of Hogwarts students, accompanied by their large croaking frogs. The group of four students – one each from Gryffindor™, Slytherin™, Hufflepuff™ and Ravenclaw™ houses – perform familiar wizarding songs.
Hogsmeade Dining
Hog’s Head Pub. At the rear of the Three Broomsticks™ tavern is the Hog’s Head pub. On the wall behind the bar is a large stuffed hog’s head which periodically snarls at guests. The family can enjoy Harry Potter™ favorites including Butterbeer™, pumpkin juice and other beverages while adults trade stories and sample the pub’s selection of domestic and imported beers, specialty drinks, wine, spirits and mixed drinks.
Three Broomsticks. In this restaurant you can choose from such entrees as the “Great Feast Platter,” fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, Cornish pasty, turkey legs and fresh vegetables. Children’s menu items include chicken, macaroni cheese, fish and chips, and chicken fingers, each served with grapes and applesauce. Dessert choices include apple pie, strawberry and peanut-butter ice-cream, and chocolate trifle.
Hogsmeade Shopping
Dervish and Banges. Be sure to stop at Dervish and Banges™ for such magical items as Sneakoscopes, Spectrespecs, Omnioculars, and The Monster Book of Monsters. Dervish and Banges carries all your Quidditch™ needs such as t-shirts, Quaffles, Golden Snitches™ and brooms including the Nimbus Two Thousand and One™ and the Firebolt. You’ll find Hogwarts™ school uniforms and clothing including robes, scarves, ties, t-shirts and sweatshirts. The store offers an assortment of other merchandise such as journals and stationery items.
Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods. Purchase souvenirs such as Hogwarts™ clothing including jackets, t-shirts, sweatshirts, shoulder bags, caps and scarves; plus house crest banners, stationery and other gifts. There are authentic movie prop replicas including character walking sticks, Death Eater masks and film-based chess sets; assorted Quidditch™ clothing; magical creature toys and clothing; plus a variety of assorted toys and other souvenirs. It is also here, at the attraction’s exit, that guests can purchase a photo of their ride experience on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™.
Honeydukes. A must-stop for visitors to Hogsmeade™, at Honeydukes™ the shelves are lined with all manner of colorful sweets, including Acid Pops, exploding bonbons, Cauldron Cakes, treacle fudge, Fizzing Whizzbees, and Chocolate Frogs™, which contain a wizard trading card in each box. Inside the shop you can fill up a bag of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans™… who knows what tasty (or not so tasty) flavors you’ll discover! The shop also offers other classic favorites such as chocolates and fudge.
Ollivanders. Visit Ollivanders™, Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C. Step into the small dusty shop and gaze up at countless wand boxes stacked to the ceiling. Here, in a unique interactive experience, you can see a wand choose a wizard. You can purchase your own Ollivanders wand, or choose from a selection including Harry Potter™ film character wand replicas, Collectible wand sets and more. In addition to purchasing replica wands, you can now purchase an Interactive Wand and cast spells to create amazing magical experiences throughout Diagon Alley™ and Hogsmeade™. Wave your wand, recite the spell, and watch as the magic unfolds!
Owl Post. The Owl Post sells a variety of stationery and writing implements, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ stamps, as well as owl-related toys and gifts. Here you can also mail letters with a special Hogsmeade™ postmark.
The Lost Continent
The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show. The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad® is an open-air amphitheater show. Cheer on the heroes and boo the villains in this spectacular live adventure. See death-defying stunts and breathtaking feats as the mighty Sindbad and his wisecracking sidekick Kabob attempt to rescue the beautiful Princess Amoura from the evil witch Miseria. *Show times vary throughout the day, please check the park map for exact times.
The Mystic Fountain. Match wits with the mischievous Mystic Fountain in Sindbad’s Bazaar. The enchanted spirit within loves to tell riddles and jokes, but be sure to answer its questions correctly or you might get wet! One of the most popular hidden treasures of Universal’s Islands of Adventure® is the Mystic Fountain in The Lost Continent®. This unassuming ancient fountain hides a secret: a spirit who loves to tease and play with passersby (especially children). When awakened, the fountain plays music, games, riddles and jokes, interacting with all who approach. Go ahead and toss a coin and make a wish. It might come true… or you just might walk away with a watery surprise. It’s hilarious fun for all ages, and a “can’t miss” on your way into The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad® stunt show.
Poseidon’s Fury. Live Action Stunt Show. You’ll soon find yourself trapped far beneath the sea with no hope of escape, caught in the middle of a colossal battle between ancient titans Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkenon. Massive fireballs, lasers, and huge explosions of water erupt all around you as you witness the power of this special effects spectacular. Will you make it back to the surface before the temple crashes down around you?
Fire Eater’s Grill. This popular food merchant in Sindbad’s Bazaar is known throughout the land for his Grilled Gyros, Fiery Chicken Stingers, Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs and Salads.
Doc Sugrue’s Desert Kebab House. Next to the Mystic Fountain you’ll find exotic cuisine fit for sultans and kings. Dine on Beef, Chicken or Vegetarian Kebabs and Greek Salads. There’s also Hummus, Greek yogurt, Fruit Cups, Pretzels and Churros. And subdue that adventurer’s thirst at this Coke® Freestyle station.
Mythos Restaurant. Fine Dining. Dine on the food of the titans at Mythos Restaurant®, named the World’s Best Theme Park Restaurant the last six years in a row. Enjoy award-winning contemporary cuisine including Sandwiches, Seafood, Pizza, Pasta and Salads.
Seuss Landing
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! On this twin-tracked ride you’ll take a gentle journey high above the colorful rides and attractions of Seuss Landing. One track of the trolley even circles around the inside of Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous™ letting you wave at the guests dining below. As you wait to board the trolley you’ll follow the wonderful story of the Sneetches™ featuring Sylvester McMonkey McBean™. One track continues the story of the Sneetches, while the other track gives you the ABC’s of Seuss Landing as you pass overhead. It’s great fun for the whole family. *Children between 40″-48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
Caro-Seuss-el. You can even animate your characters! For the first time ever in a carousel you can pull back on the reins or push the lever on the neck and your mount’s eyes will blink, ears will wiggle, or head will turn. Plus, look high above and you’ll see Horton the Elephant at the very top of the Caro-Seuss-el™, carefully guarding his dandelion. * No Height Requirement, but Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. As you fly low and fly high, spinning and swooping around and around you’ll pass an array of fountains that squirt in time to a musical rhyme. Pay attention to the words and do what they say if you don’t want to get wet! * No Height Requirement, but Children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion.
The Cat in the Hat. You’ll swerve this way and that as that red and white hatted cat and his friends Thing One and Thing Two almost bring down the house. With a bump and a thump and an assortment of crashes the mischievous trio make quite a mess of things. You’d better hope they get the house cleaned up before Mother comes home! * You must be at least “36 to ride.
If I Ran The Zoo. This interactive play area recounts the story of Gerald McGrew and his quest to create a totally different zoo of strange and unusual animals from the most remote and exotic places around the world. Turn a crank, spin a wheel, and step on pedals to see a menagerie of bizarre creatures appear from behind the hedges… like a tizzle topped tufted Mazurka (found on the African island of Yerka). You can slide down the tunnels of Zomba-ma-tant, or crawl through a cave in Kartoom and try to catch the beast called a Natch. There’s a wet play area where you can trap beasts (or brothers and sisters) in a cage made of water. You can ride a multi-humped cow, or play a game on the belly of Tic Tac Joe. But beware of the Scraggle Foot Mulligatawny, unless you like getting sneezed on.
Seuss Landing Dining
Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. Enter the big top of the Circus McGurkus where strange creatures perform and acrobats twirl high overhead. Kids especially will love the menu which features Fried Chicken, Spaghetti, Pizza, Cheeseburgers and Chicken Caesar Salad.
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe. You’ll enjoy these tasty Green Eggs and Ham Sandwiches, Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers as well! Just look for the big, green, ham-shaped building with the giant fork on top.
Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop. Grab your Pop and make a stop at the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop for Ice Cream Sundaes, a Sundae on a Stick, Waffle Cones, and Root Beer Floats.
Moose Juice, Goose Juice. Here you can enjoy Juice & Frozen Juice, Fresh Fruit Cups, Churros, Pretzels, and Cookies.
