There is nothing worse than discovering your favorite Walt Disney World Resort attraction is going to be down for refurbishment while you are visiting. We are here to give you weekly updates about what is currently closed and what attractions will be going down in the future.

Theme Parks

Currently in the Magic Kingdom, all attractions are up and running. Disney announced this week the refurbishment of the Walt Disney World Railroad which is set for April 11-23.   Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the refurbishment of Flights of Wonder has been extended through April 9th.

Pizza Planet remains closed for its lengthy refurbishment in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (set to reopen in late 2016). The refurbishment of Soarin’ and the re-imagination of the Maelstrom continue in Epcot this week.  Frozen Ever After is still on schedule to open on April 30, 2016.  Disney announced this week the upcoming refurbishments of the Stave Church Gallery and House of the Whispering Willows.

Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf will be closing the Fantasia Fairways April 4-20 for a brief refurbishment.

Resort Hotels

Several ongoing resort refurbishments continue this week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas,  Disney’s Boardwalk Inn,  Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort,  Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort,  Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Buena Vista Palace.  Upcoming refurbishments scheduled for the Walt Disney World Resort include:

If Guests plan to use this form of transportation during their visit they should check to be sure of the best option available on their day of travel, as alternative transportation options will be available.
