The Disney Parks Blog is reporting that the long-awaited Wave B Hidden Mickey Pins will be released at Walt Disney World Resort (Disney World) and Disneyland Resort (Disneyland) sometime in November! These hidden Mickey pins contain a small silver Mickey Mouse and are usually 1.25 inches with the words “Hidden Mickey Pin” on the back. They are only available by trading with cast members at each resort.
Guests at Disney World are able to choose from Character Ear Hats featuring Tinker Bell, Jiminy Cricket, Piglet, Sebastian, and Chip and Dale; Mickey Mouse-adorned macaroons; Disney Dragons featuring Mushu, Figment, Elliott, Maleficent, and Dragon Mim; Outer Space Characters featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto; and my personal favorite, a set with Genie from Disney’s “Aladdin.” Of course, the chaser pins are silver, and one of each set is available as a chaser.
Guests at Disneyland will find two separate collections representing the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, as well as one set of Mad Tea Party Cups and one set of Mardi Gras Characters featuring Mickey, Chip and Dale, Stitch, Pluto, and Minnie. The most unique set, though, features Daughters of King Triton from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” and they are a great find because these characters are rare on Disney Parks merchandise.
Also reported on the blog is that the release schedule for the 2016 Hidden Mickey pins has been adjusted. Similar to the 2015 release schedule, the first part will be released in the spring and the second part will be released in the fall.
