Since the announcement that 2015 would be the last year for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, everyone has wondered if it really was the end to the magical light show.
There have been rumors that the dancing lights would be moved to Disney Springs or that Disney would be breaking the lights up and using them through out Walt Disney World Resort with a few going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to add some festive holiday cheer to boost their nighttime activity.
But could they really be coming back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in a new spot and new set up?!? I saw this in a Disney group and had to research it for myself. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights does not show up on the Walt Disney World website at all; not under events, not when you search for it, nowhere… Unless you follow an old link! That is where you can find this in all its glory!

Normally, it would just be chalked up to an old link, BUT this has been updated to show the new Muppet Courtyard! Disney hasn’t officially acknowledged the new area, but it has shown up on the new revised Disney’s Hollywood Studios map available in the parks since April 3, 2016. Last year, as each previous year, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights were located along Streets of America. That area was permanently closed at park closing on April 2, 2016.
Now, comes the real question. IF they bring back The Osborne Family Lights will this be another new hard ticketed event similar to the newly announced “Disney After Dark” taking place for a limited time at Magic Kingdom?
There has not been any official word from Disney regarding bringing back the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, so this is just a rumor!
