Ahoy Mateys! Are ye searching for a swashbuckling good time for yer youngins? Then look no further – the Pirate Adventure Cruise is for you. Designed for buccaneers aged 4-12, this 2 hour adventure be full of fun and mystery.
My oldest is 5 and we love to try new things on each trip to Walt Disney World Resort. This trip we embraced the pirate theme with a Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, searching for treasure in Adventureland with A Pirate’s Adventures – Treasures of the Seven Seas, and the Pirate Adventure Cruise.
We signed up for the Bayou Pirate Adventure that departed from Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and arrived 15 minutes before departure. Parents signed the obligatory release forms and the children were given name tags, a bottle of water and a life jacket. Prior to departure, there were games set up for the kids to play.
Now, finding out exactly what happened on the cruise was a bit of a challenge; after all, I had a super excited 5 year old speaking pirate. What I did glean, was that the swashbucklers followed a treasure map to different ports of call (Saratoga Springs Resort, the Tree House Villas at Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West). There were clues that they had to solve and treats along the way. When they pulled back into port, the kids were singing and laughing and having a great time. After the crew arrived, there was one final clue, they sang a song, did a handshake and then opened the treasure chest. Wow! The booty was pretty cool.
I asked Patrick if he would recommend this for other kids and he replied with a hearty, “Aye”!
